Fishing woes and Willow Park

So its kind of sad that all of my posts begin with, yesterday we...its just that by the time we get home from our adventures we are all so tired, and it is usually oh so late. Anyways yesterday we spent a fun filled Saturday with my family. My dad and dave went for a 24 mile bike ride in the morning. Emma was so sad when her daddy and mampa left to go biking without her. She pouted until they came back. While they were gone she picked up and yelled into a play phone, "DADDY, (bring) Mampa back...TODAY!!" It was so funny. Me and my mom busted a gut on that one. When they got back Emma's feelings were hurt because Daddy wouldn't let her kiss the big ol' nasty gash on his knee better that he

got when he endoed into a river. This resulted in

more pouting. Grandpa fixed things though by loading up the fishing gear!!! Near Willow park they have a cute little pond for children under 14 to fish in. They usually stock it at the end of April or beginning of May. The fish usually just jump on your pole. Not yesterday. Em only got two nibbles. Although she did catch an Auntie. Emma was practicing her casting in the grass and happened to drag a slimy, moss covered hook right over napping Crystal. It was hilarious. Em didn't mind to much that we were

skunked because she saw a lot of ducks. After playing on the playground for awhile
we headed over to Willow park. Emma loved alllll the animals. Its amazing how one can get so excited over birds and turtles. She learned to do a mean pea-cock impression. Have her do it for

ya sometime for a good laugh. Her favorite animal was the bobcat.
Or the big meow as she referred to it. It was fun spending time with

my family. Emma loves them all so very much.
They spoil her with attention. The day did end with a few catastrophes

though. Poor dave may never be the same. We stopped at Dave's

dad's house on the way home to grab our canoe and some

barnwood. While Dave was pulling apart the fence Em

stepped smack on a big, rusty, nasty, nail. Don't worry it only got stuck in her gelly shoe. While taking the fence

apart Dave smacked his hand with the hammer. We're

not sure if its broken yet but he can't do much with it.

He reassured me he would have x-rayed before his shift

today. While cleaning up at home Dave admitted he

probably should have gotten stitches in his knee, its

so nasty. To add to his troubles he is soooooo sore. In

the last two days he has biked 46.5 miles (mountain biking).

Good training for the white rim trail I tell him!

All in all it was a great day! Now if I could just get over this horrid cold!
