An adorable program full of festive songs and animal props (note to self-get there earlier next time for a better seat)

big girl flowers from daddy. Every girl needs flowers on "grad-gee-ation" day.

A proud, yet rather rambunctious little sister in the audience who kept standing on her chair and yelling, "YAY big SISTERRRR!!!" as loud as she could.
A grandma who traveled over an hour with the crazy little cousins just to see the show.
A super proud and slightly teary-eyed mama who is not shown because apparently pregnancy turns her head into a big puffy balloon and really, who wants to see that?!
Some corny little graduation cupcakes.
We HAD to make them because Emma promised Sam a goodbye cupcake. Apparently the boy LOVES cupcakes and as Emma kept reminding me, "a promise is a promise". Speaking of Sam, I finally caught a picture of Emma and him together.

And one last picture with Miss Jamie
Note, Miss Jamie wasn't Emma's main teacher but she was by far her favorite. It was Miss Jamie who was called in to calm down a tearful Emma the day the fundraising t-shirts came in and Emma discovered her very forgetful mother hadn't ordered her one like she had promised. After Emma explained to Miss Jamie that it was all a, "terrrrible misunderstanding" Miss Jamie actually bought Emma one of the shirts. Yeah, she's that great.

And ummm one more thing, a confession really to show you what kind of parent I am...besides the kind that is forgetful and breaks promises to her 4 year old, as we have already established. Emma was sick on "grad-gee-ation" day. Really sick. But, she had been looking forward to "grad-gee-ation" and practicing her program songs for WEEKS. Not a day went by when I wouldn't find Emma singing her heart out on a made-up stage with Ali as the audience. She even made Ali practice clap. So what else could I do but dose her up on Tylenol and take her to the program?! As soon as we got out to the car afterwards she fell asleep and didn't wake back up for a good 8 hours. She even missed her special "grad-gee-ation" luncheon. Poor little monkey.
Next step...Kindergarten. Emma is super excited because two of her very favorite things in life are learning and friends (or so she told me). I, on the the other hand, am kind of dreading having my baby gone everyday. Why must they grow?
