What a beautiful day! If you are an avid reader of our blog you probably know by now that one of our favorite things to do on a beautiful day is to pack up a lunch and head off somewhere scenic to enjoy the afternoon. Today we headed to the Uintas. Me and Dave got to talking and realized we haven't been to the Uintas all summer...totally unacceptable! The Uintas is my moab. It reminds me of Glacier and Yellowstone. I love all the lodge pole pines and lakes. It was a great day for the millers!
Me and Emma at the Provo River Falls......Emma was so excited to show baby Ali her very first waterfall.
Ohhhhhh what a cute daddy.
Here we are....the miller bunch
Emma was so excited to be outside exploring today. This picture really shows it.
The weather was sunny but only 42 degrees. There was snow in patches and ice on the shallow parts of mirror lake. That didn't stop little Emma. She saw the water and just ran in. We couldn't get her out of it. This cute, older couple from California came walking by in their big winter coats and chuckled at what a, "hearty Utah girl" Emma is.

Other news....Ali had her 2 week check-up yesterday. She weighs 7 lbs 13 oz and is 20 inches long. She has gained a whole pound! Really, that's impressive for a newborn. My little Al is a hearty eater hehe. She is healthy and beautiful and we are just loving having her in our home. Emma is finally starting to adjust. She is finally sleeping (for the most part) again and her tantrums are on a decline. She loves her little sister. When the Dr. was doing Ali's exam Emma kept crying, "no my baby Ali" she was really concerned. Dave is still off of work from the U. He still has school and has picked up a couple of shifts at Southwest (now that he is out of training he is liking his job a lot more) but for the most part he is at home. We just love it! Its going to be a bear when he has to go back. Lets see what else-HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW DAVE!!!! Emma has been practicing a birthday song for daddy the last 3 days.

sure was a fun day. I think since the uintas is "your Moab" then you owe me a trip to my Moab!!!!
You are glowing again. You are so very blessed to enjoy such beautiful days with your growing family. We are glad all is going well, & Happy Birthday Dave!!!
XOXO, Aunty
I'm jealous of all the outdoors! We are expecting a cold front this week that everyone is talking about and getting excited about - it's supposed to knock us down into the 80s! Not quite Utah October weather. We're going camping this weekend for the first time here and we definitely won't have to be packing extra blankets.
I love that Emma was excited about showing Ali her first waterfall and that she is protective of her at the doctor's office. Things like that make me love being a mom.
