Spooktacular Fun!

I swear every year Halloween just gets more and more fun. This year it was so exciting because it was Ali's first Halloween and Emma was old enough to really understand the concept of trick-or-treating. She would walk up to the doors run smack into them with her bucket (didn't ever figure out why) knock and yell "TRICK O TREAT." then with a sweet little "Thank you" we were off to the next house. The only downfall was poor Dave was so sick. He was a trooper though and still participated in most of the fun. Halloween morning me and Emma made cookies for our special trick-or-treaters. Cutest, easiest cookies. You take a nutter butter dip it in melted white chocolate and put chocolate chips for eyes, wala ghost cookies! After nap we woke up Dave and carved pumpkins. Well me and Dave carved. Emma hated the pumpkin goo so she settled on coloring hers and Ali's pumpkins with markers. Little Al took a nap in the swing. Adam and Mindy came over later for trick-or-treating fun. We got the girls all dressed up, took a million pictures and headed out. We all went to the first few houses and then we took turns going with Emma or staying with Ali and passing out candy. Mindy however was with Emma at all times. Emma just loves Adam and Mindy! It is really sweet cuz those two love my girls like their own. They are so sweet with them. When we got back home we all had dinner and sweet little Emma had a "I'm so tired from all the halloween fun" tantrum. We put the girls to bed and then watched a movie. It was a great day. I love holidays!
poor Dave you can see it in his face, he just doesn't feel good but he is trying!

Didn't they turn out pretty? I'm not a believer in the carving kits can ya tell.

Emma went as a puppy or as she told everyone a "ruff-ruff"

Isn't Ali the prettiest Kitty ever. We actually got her costume at Build a Bear. cool huh. I had to make a few adjustments but it worked great and was super cheap for a costume!

Heading out! Notice Ali's diaper cover, I didn't have one for her so she is wearing Emma's, thats why it is huge.

Trick-or-Treat!

Hope you all had a super fun, safe Halloween!

So cute! I am not a believer in pumpkin carving kits either! They look great! Does Dave have the nasty cold that is going around? Poor guy!
